A man of words and not of deeds is like a garden full of weeds. I could still remember clearly after six months , President Mohammadu Buhari's promises to Nigerians during his campaign for election, I could remember his promise on Chibok girls, I could still remember how he promised on his performance after 100days in office, I could still remember clearly the echo of change everywhere like Buhari is the messaih, the heaven sent. And after six months he has brought nothing but deceitful change to Nigeria. The promises he made are no where to be found
They said Goodluck Jonathan was competent but lacked experience. He was a Governor, before becoming the president, that sounds like enough experience, because Bill Clinton was also a Governor becoming the president. So by experience they mean he must have been a Head of State in the past. Are you kidding me? Well, the man with an experience is here and he is currently showing us the negative side of change
After six months the only tremendous achievements of Mr president are lies, disobedience of court order, Economic instability, minimum security, and blaming of predecessor after six months.
Sen Bukola Saraki on the 19th of September 2015 disobeyed court order, a whole senate president of the Federation. He refused to declare His full asset as required by the constitution, and the court gave him order and he refused, I thought a leader is suppose to lead by example, and that doesn't sound like a good example to me
18 Dec 2015 marks a day of bad memory in the history of Nigeria, Naira Crashes To #280 Against Dollar. The worst exchange rate in the history of Nigeria, and as a result there has been inflation in the prices of virtually everything in the country. Mr president haven't taken any step in diversifying the country's economy as promised. Government can no longer pay salaries. The 36 state governors said they could no longer pay the N18,000 minimum wage that was signed into law in March 2011 by former President Goodluck Jonathan, owing to the poor state of the economy. Fortunately this was rejected was rejected by Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC). Even World Bank said that Nigerians are growing poorer for the first time since 1999. The economic sector is so close to collapse. And yet the President still has plan to borrow 2 trillion naira, and if he does this will be the highest amount of money the country has ever borrowed.
The issue of security in Nigeria is something no one is proud of. The killings in the northwestern by Boko Haram is still very much on, though Buhari claimed to have technically won the battle against Boko Haram, and yet on Christmas day Boko Haram killed 14, injured several, and burned down an entire village in northeastern part of the country. Boko Haram terrorists on the of Dec 27 2015 evening arrived at a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) filling station in the outskirts of Maiduguiri, Borno State on vehicles and opened fire on motorists queueing for fuel. All these happended just days after Mr President's statement. And before these attacks our so called Minister of information also supported Mr president, and he said "Though there are still cases of suicide bombings, it is necessary to note that such is the nature of insurgency globally", so sucide attacks and killing of innocent people is is a nature of insurgency globally. What a big shame on him. I love Gov. Fayose's reply to him, asking him to relocate to Yola or Borno if he is so sure about his statement.
President Buhari's appointments is in no way representing ethnic diversity, Comptroller general of customs, DSS Director general, Chief of staff, INEC chairman, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), NSA chairman they're all from the Northern part of the country.
Mr President's fight on corruption is done selectively, if he really wants to fight corruption, he should start with his party leader. At least everyone knows him to be one of the most corrupt politicians in the country.
Fuel Scarcity is a topic on its own, as it has been that way for over a month now. No attempts on bad roads.
Hopefully Nigeria haven't gone beyond repair. Mr President should find a better solution to the country's situation and stop travelling all around in the name of cheap international recognition.
